Getting your pet portrait painted is a very easy process. I can do the painting from a photography or in studio photo shoot. If the pet has passed on, it helps to have a selection of photography’s.

OIL

For the portrait we can then discuss about the size, composition and the painting options(watercolour, oil or encaustic)  and framing. Cost start at €250 for a 30x30cm framed painting. The normal timeline is 6 weeks, but this can change if the painting is bigger.

Based on our discussion on portrait position, I will give you 3 proposals for composition. Once the painting is 80% we can discuss the fine detail, you can make changes at this stage. A frame option is then confirmed and the finishing off process such as varnish, glass, mounting decided.

Testimonials

I was really impressed by the quality of artwork from Helen, Quin art shop. From her knowledge of capturing local scenes and transforming it into real lifelike stunning pieces of artwork.  It was also nice knowing that I’m supporting local artists. From seeing a piece of work whether online or on occasions at her market gallery shop stand to bringing it home and hanging it on the wall it was all very easy and great quality throughout. I am truly happy with my piece and we show it off proudly.  I would definitely recommend Helen and would be happy to purchase another piece of her work again.

We were thrilled to find a very ‘live’ painting of our goat at a Christmas fair in Doonbeg.  He was painted by Helen Lowe who was a pleasure to deal with.
He now hangs in our home in Lahinch where goats are synonymous with the golf club and is very much admired by all.

I was looking to purchase a piece of art for a friend/work colleague, Katie, to celebrate her wedding. I was selecting the gift on behalf of my team and wanted to get it right for both the team and my friend. I was given Helen’s name and choose the perfect piece, ‘Hello 408’. It is a beautiful piece and I know my friend, Katie, is proud to have the piece of art hanging in her home. For me personally, I would have a house full of Helen’s paintings if I could.

Dealing with Helen was a pleasure, very professional, practical and helpful. Navigating, selecting and ordering through Helen’s website was a very easy process.

I fell in love with Helen’s cow painting when I first clapped eyes  on her and she now hangs very beautifully in my home in Leitrim.  Helen’s use of colour and application brings her subject alive. How wonderful that the artist even delivers the painting in person.

I first encountered Helen’s artwork at an exhibition when I was on a trip to Ireland and was so impressed that I bought two of her excellent glicee prints.

I looked her up on the internet and decided to buy some packets of her greeting cards depicting the West Coast landscape.  The package arrived very promptly, securely packed and included a gift as I had difficulty in accessing the Paypal option for payment.  I am very pleased with my purchases, hence will continue to be a return client.

Purchased a high quality “Singing Robin” fine art giiclee print from Helen for my sisters birthday. So pleased, it was beautifully reproduced from the original water colour using specialist art printing processes.

My sister loves it!
